2011 | Dr. Kjell A. Nordström
Keynote speaker of the Swedish Business Awards 2011.

Mr. Nordström holds a doctoral degree in International Business from the Stockholm School of Economics. His research and consulting focus is in the areas of corporate strategy, multinational corporations and globalization. Nordström has published three books and numerous articles on the internationalization process of firms.

In 2000 Nordström with his colleague and co-author Dr. Jonas Ridderstråle published the book 'Funky Business – Talent Makes Capital Dance', which is described as a 'manifesto of what our time requires from business firms and their leaders'. The book became an international best-seller and has to date been translated into 33 languages. In 2000, both Amazon and the webzine Management General rated it as one of the five best business books of the year. Another survey ranked it as the 16th best business book of all time.

Nordström together with Ridderstråle are working on a new book titled 'ØPEN!'. The authors argue that two changes — the continuing impact of the technology cue ball and the rise of capitalism — are unstoppable forces. Competitive advantage has never been so fast, fleeting and fickle. This is creating a phenomenon called liquidity.

Today, Nordström works with some of the world’s leading organizations to shape future strategies. As a professional public speaker in the field of strategic management, he has been rated among the top 50 of the world’s thinkers and number one in Europe.
"IQ. The Economist" interview with dr. Kjell Nordström
Scandinavian business executives who take part in seminars headed by Kjell Nordström at the Stockholm School of Economics look for the ability to develop their own theories of doing business, as those who only adapt borrowed thinking are more likely to be left behind. K. Nordström also tells about a surprisingly hospitable Scandinavian outlook towards the Baltics and outlines vision for the Nordic-Baltic integration during the next few decades.
